"I love the ElliptiGO. I've always been a proponent for including cross-training in any running regimen, and the ElliptiGO is the best cross training device I've ever seen - bar none. When I'm training, I like to follow up a hard run with a really hard ElliptiGO ride the next day. That way I can let my joints recover while I continue to build my cardiovascular strength." Dean integrated the ElliptiGO into his training regimen in 2009 and he liked itthat he started doing extreme endurance events on his ElliptiGO earlier this year. In March 2010, Dean set the 5-day elliptical biking distance record by riding his ElliptiGO 8S almost 500 miles from San Francisco to Los Angeles along the Pacific Coast Highway. He ran the Los Angeles marathon less than 48 hours after completing this ride. A few weeks later, in April of 2010, he completed the "Hell's Gate Hundred" on his ElliptiGO. The Hell's Gate is a 100-mile cycling event in Death Valley that includes more than 8,000' of elevation gain. When asked why he has started doing cycling events on the ElliptiGO, Dean said "I love seeing how far the human body can be pushed, and the ElliptiGO gives me another way to push the envelope." |
